Try to setup the language environment correctly

Description
Certain built-in GUI elements (e.g. default buttons or the file chooser dialog) use the system's default language. However, they can be controlled via environment variables. So it might work to read the configuration on startup, set up the environment variables and restart ourselves with a command-line switch to prevent this special behaviour.
